I can't believe it's the end of January already, how did that happen? I had all these grand plans and didn't get through half. Time to write a revised to do list.

I've been taking pics of things I still have for sale...that's been difficult because there has been very little sun in Vancouver.

I also have been weaving tons and doing some of my own product development. I mentioned before that things are slow with this but I like where it's leading me so I'm going to try to be patient.

Coming soon, some pretty textile jewelry. Little things to wear on your wrists...

I've been working along on the new stuff, organizing some older stuff and just trying to figure things out. Having fun along the way too.

Happy Friday friends!

It's really cold in Vancouver today...colder then I've ever felt here actually. Something about arctic something which means REALLY REALLY cold.

Above is a pic of a few nights ago, it was also really cold (not as cold as today though). D and I have been playing with the settings in our camera...this is a night setting, it was actually really dark but somehow with and 8 second delay it came out like this. I like it. I especially like how the sky looks and the lights of downtown Vancouver behind me.

Stay warm.

Yup, it looked like this yesterday morning...it didn't last but everything is still white. I walked to the silk weaving studio yesterday (it's only about a 20-25 minute walk) and the streets were quiet.

Tons of people were still waiting for their buses--everything was delayed.

Doing some dyeing this morning.

We woke up to snow here in Vancouver. A light dusting anyway. It's cold enough that it's not really melting either...really pretty.

I'm in my studio, weaving, spinning and dyeing.

I'm trying to be more of a regular poster on my blog...I used to be so good. Gonna try.

working on some new neck pieces. Think double weave, hand spun silk and gradations...

Since moving around my studio I've been so inspired...so much more room. I'm slowly sticking things to the wall...some past work. Excuse the painters tape...

I'm happy to be back in my own hood. So far I have just been taking care of business in the form of organizing and moving around my studio. It's going great, I'm just about finished and already I have so much more room to work.

I have been thinking about things I would like to get going this year, lots of new ideas in which I'm excited about including a little rearranging of my website. Also I'm happy to report that I will be splitting my time between my own studio and the Silk Weaving Studio over on Granville Island. I have been working there for a few months now and have been really enjoying it. It's a great environment to work in with awesome textile ladies.

While back east I visited the textile museum and other textile related activities. The one I enjoyed the most though was a textile show over at the Gladstone Hotel called Hard Twist 2011-Obsession. Really interesting selection of work and I like that it's displayed all throughout the hotel which, in itself is so interesting.

On to finishing the studio re-org.
Haps New Year dears.
