As many of you lovely readers know, I am one of the weavers at the Silk Weaving Studio on Granville Island here in Vancouver. It's a pretty sweet gig if I do say so myself (and I do! :)

Every summer at the studio we raise silk worms. Not really for their silk but just to show all our visitors how silk is produced. These little guys are so popular and get their picture taken often.

The silk worms that we've had in the past have always been white, this time around we got a little surprise when the eggs hatched...black ones!!! They are so beautiful! We can't wait to see what their cocoons look like and what they look like as moths. I read somewhere that their cocoons are going to be yellow or gold, that's exciting!

On another note, I have some super awesome plans for the fall that I can't wait to share with you!

xo lovely readers.
